WHY JOIN LEVEL 2?

After an introduction to Nonviolent Communication, the next phase is practice — learning how to apply the tools skillfully when real life is messy, relationships matter, and emotions or pressures run high.

Workplace communication involves layers: power dynamics, deadlines, cultural differences, unclear expectations, and long-standing patterns. Continued training and guided practice help participants integrate NVC more deeply so they can respond with clarity, empathy, and confidence.

This Level 2 training is designed for professionals who want to:

  • Strengthen the foundational NVC skills learned in Level 1

  • Engage in conflict with more openness and less anxiety

  • Set boundaries with clarity and respect

  • Give and receive feedback without defensiveness

  • Build communication habits that support trust and collaboration

This program blends structured learning with immersive, experiential practice using real workplace examples and scenarios relevant to leadership, teamwork, service, and communication roles.

WHAT WE WILL EXPLORE

Over two days we will go further into the nuance of interpersonal communication, emotional intelligence and relational leadership. Themes include:

  • Deepening empathy and self-empathy

  • Working with difficult emotions and reactivity

  • Accountability and repair: moving beyond blame and avoidance

  • Assertiveness vs. aggression — finding grounded confidence

  • Requests, agreements, and boundaries in workplace contexts

  • Facilitating conversations and meetings that build clarity and trust

Like always, this program includes a balance of reflection, movement, imagination and practical skill rehearsal — no performance or artistic experience necessary.

WHO THIS IS FOR

This training supports:

  • Health and human service providers

  • Educators and school staff

  • Managers and supervisors

  • HR professionals

  • Social impact, government and nonprofit staff

  • Facilitators, coaches, and organizational leaders

  • Anyone wanting to deepen their interpersonal and workplace communication skills

A minimum of 10 hours of previous interactive NVC training is required.
