Monitoring Mammals - what have we found?
Join us as we discover whether any mammals (or other elusive species) have visited our site over the City Nature Challenge.
The City Nature Challenge aims to document as much wildlife as possible over 4 days. We'll be setting up camera traps and footprint tunnels to help us document those species more seldom seen. Join us at this post-challenge follow up event as we take a look inside our footprint tunnels and work together to identify any mammal tracks we find. We'll also be analysing footage from our camera traps to see if we can identify any species photographed. Experts from RECORD and Chester Zoo will be on hand and there will be plenty of books and guides available to help with our identification work.
What's more... drinks and snacks will be provided.
This is a chance for those who helped us set up the monitoring equipment to see whether your hard work has paid off, however all are welcome to attend whether or you attended the set-up event.
If you would like to also help set up the monitoring equipment on 25 April, please book separately here for this event here.
Accessibility: The event is held in the Mottershead room which is wheelchair accesible. If you have any mobility needs or other additional needs please do not hesitate to get in touch with us ahead of the event to discuss (email info@record-lrc.co.uk).
This event is suitable for adults only. More information on the exact meeting point and what to bring along will be emailed to you when you book - please check your spam emails if this doesn't arrive.
