These are regular and much appreciated workshops are held in Stourbridge at General Office Gallery Gallery / Event space.
A small group of up to six attendees, we begin with table and floor based exercises - focusing ourselves on a process led approach - we ease gradually from small to large, table to wall, dry to wet materials and explore various drawing implements - moving gradually towards an expanded space of drawing.
September 26th 10-1pm
November 7th 2-5 pm
We will draw collaboratively and then each person has a wall space and time to draw independently.
Attendees leave with:
- a liberating sense of embodied, movement and touch led practice
reflective space to draw together and alone
- a series of exercises to stimulate and build confidence
The workshops are founded on the sympathetic principles of Guided Drawing and we work with embodied, non critical approaches nurturing process, journeying and creative inclusion. Many people acknowledge this is a rare opportunity to work on a large scale.
Many attendees return to deepen their approach to this method of drawing. This workshop is now in its six year and continuously developing.
