Artivist's Handbook

SPID Theatre celebrates its 20th anniversary by releasing extra tickets for Artivist's Handbook 7pm Sat Dec 6th and a screening of their Join Justice film 5.30pm Sat Dec 6th following a sell out run. Uplifting, educational and redemptive, the show features an interactive exhibition and dramatised tour of their ground breaking refurbishment and history. It highlights how the charity raised £4 million to restore their council estate theatre, sued the landlord they share with the Grenfell Tower and worked with their neighbours on the estate to spearhead investment together. These achievements would not have been possible without the commitment and determination of Kensal House residents, who have been courageous in their commitment to ensuring the whole estate is brought up to standard.  This innovative story of hope was developed over the charity’s 7-year refurbishment of their Grade II* listed theatre, sharing SPID’s inspiring tactics for securing housing justice.
