GroundEd - Regenerative and Transformative CPD for Educators

Through a series of nature-based learning experiences and outdoor sessions in beautiful Northumberland we will bridge the critical gap between knowing about sustainability and living it. GroundEd will ensure teachers working with any age group or from any discipline return to the classroom with knowledge, understanding and skills which provide the foundations for genuine classroom transformation. The event is aimed at educators who are just starting with an interest in environmental education to fully-fledged sustainability leads who are looking to expand their network or strengthen their regenerative practice.

 

The Ministry of Eco Education and OASES, who have been delivering high quality climate, nature and sustainability CPD to teachers for many years, are partnering with TerraLigo to bring you this unique experience. The event will take place on a 5-acre smallholding in the North Tyne Valley. The Homestead is on the edge of Northumberland National Park and the Northumberland International Dark Sky Park.

 

We have an incredible group of experienced practitioners who will present heads, hands, hearts approaches for teachers themselves and resources to take back to their schools. Between sessions there will be several hands-on workshops from exceptional providers of environmental education outreach. In the evenings we will have entertainment from Ladies of the Midnight Blue and Blair Dunlop with plenty of time for networking.

The programme is being curated by Dr Meryl Batchelder. Our wonderful speakers include:

This is a part-funded and not-for-profit event with a limited number of tickets available. Gates will open for camping or campervans on the evening of Thursday 18th June and the site will close at noon on the 21st.  Food for the Friday to Saturday alongside a camping or campervan pitch is included in the ticket price and we have spare tents! Day tickets are now available too.
