Steep'd is an immersive, ambient tea lounge series hosted by The Ludo. In the New Year, we are excited to be branching out to host some special events and workshops! 

On January 12th, Alyssa Palance, local herbalist and founder of Virgo’s Room, will be leading a tea blending workshop focused on warming, cozy herbs that will bring some light to the upcoming cold winter days. 

She will walk us through her process of combining individual herbs to create a delicious and functional beverage, discussing flavors and functions, as well as how to use intuition to guide your creations.

You will have the opportunity to tailor your blend to your individual tastes and needs, ask questions, and get creative with your choices!

At the end of the workshop, you'll have time to sample your tea, chat with the group, and enjoy some ambient tunes. 

Plus, you'll take a bag home with you to enjoy on your own or share with others!

Come get cozy, learn a fun and valuable new practice, and connect with the community as you steep in lovely tastes, scents, and sounds.

We have a strict, timed entry from 7 to 7:30 PM, so please plan your arrival accordingly. 

This event will be hosted at First Street Market (59 First Street) in East Cambridge, a few-minute walk from the Green Line and several bus routes at Lechmere Station. There are also a limited number of metered street spots out front and some Cambridge residential parking nearby, as well as a paid lot directly above the venue. 

All materials for tea crafting and tasting will be provided. Bring your own notebook and pen, if you want to take notes, and anything else that will make you more comfortable for the evening. No outside food or beverages are permitted at the venue.
