Our Cambridge walking tour offers a fresh perspective on the city’s history, moving beyond the typical narratives to explore the complex stories of race, gender, class, and disability. We raise thought-provoking questions about the lasting legacies of the British Empire and its impact on the academic university. 

Each tour is led by university researchers who are passionate about Cambridge, its residents, and its diverse past. Our well-researched and intellectually stimulating tours are designed to encourage critical thinking and discussion.

Tour recommended for age 12 and older. All minors (under 18) must be accompanied by an adult.
Children under 12 are welcome to attend free of charge.

Join us for an enlightening Cambridge walking tour that offers a new way of seeing the city and its storied landscape.

Accessibility: Mostly flat terrain, but with some cobblestoned streets. No steps, but one ramp on and off a bridge. Wheelchair accessible, with spaces to sit down or lean against buildings throughout. Toilets available on route within local pubs, but if possible, it is recommended to attend to bio needs before the tour begins.
