Beginner Bike Ride from Brighton to campus

Would you like to feel more confident cycling to campus? Join us for a guided ride from central Brighton to the University ahead of Sussex’s Travel Day on 14th April.

Brighton can feel busy, but it has dedicated cycling infrastructure in place to help you cycle safely to campus. Whether you’re looking to build confidence or thinking about commuting by bike for the first time, join Monika to explore your sustainable travel options. 

We’ll cycle from The Level to campus in the morning, with the option to ride back to town together in the afternoon. The entire route is on dedicated cycling lanes, however you need to already be comfortable on a bike to take part. 

This is a great opportunity to: 

• Try out the route in a supportive group 

• Meet like-minded students and staff 

• Receive a free healthy Sussex Uni Food breakfast at Eat Central for everyone who joins! 

What to bring: 

• Your own bike 

• A helmet (must be safe to use in order for you to take part).  

Please make sure your bike is roadworthy. If you have any questions or would like to borrow a helmet, contact Monika at m.farkas@sussex.ac.uk.
