Why Are You Processing My Personal Data?

We strive to minimize our data processing such that none of the processing operations will cause you to be surprised. This means that we aim to either explicitly tell you about the processing or ask you for consent for the processing right before the moment that the processing happens. You Register for an Event

If you register for one of our events, we will send you communication relating to the event. For this, we will process data that you provide to us such as:

  • Your email address

  • The company that you work for

Ticket Tailor will process the data that you provided to us during the checkout funnel in line with our instructions, exclusively to process your registration. Therefore, our respective legal basis is GDPR Art. 6(1) (b), “contract”.

Ticket Tailor exclusively processes your data in the European Union. You can find more details about their processing, including a list of their subprocessors to provide their services, here.

You Subscribe to our Newsletter

To provide you with our newsletters, we will process the following information (“Subscriber Data”):

  • Name

  • Email address

  • The company that you work for

  • Address (optional)

  • Phone number (optional)

  • Job position

  • Country

During the process of registering for one of our events, you will have the option to subscribe to our newsletter. Our legal basis to do so, is your consent per GDPR Art. 6(1)(a). Afterwards, you will need to confirm your email address via a so-called “double opt-in email”. Only after clicking on the confirmation link in that email, will you receive our newsletter. Additionally, you can find an unsubscribe link at the bottom of each email that we send you.

For the distribution of our newsletter, we are making use of a subprocessor called Mailchimp. We have concluded a data processing agreement with the company offering the Mailchimp service. This company is registered at

Mailchimp stores your Subscriber Data in data centres in the United States. Mailchimp is certified under the EU-US Privacy Shield mechanism. Therefore, the legal basis for transferring your Subscribe Data to the United States is the adequacy decision pursuant to GDPR Art. 45.
