Effortless PTA Fundraising with AmazonSmile

After planning, organising and hosting so many fundraising events throughout the year, it can be a welcome break to come across a fundraising tool that requires little to no effort to set up but continues to increase the fundraising pot in the background. AmazonSmile is one of these tools and one we hope will work for you. 🙌
Prerequisites
Your PTA must be registered with the Charity Commission of either England and Wales, Scotland, or Northern Ireland and have enrolled in the AmazonSmile programme. To enrol and receive AmazonSmile donations, go to https://org.amazon.co.uk .
How it works
Once your PTA is registered on Amazon Smile, it is a simple and automatic process for parents to support your PTA group at no extra cost , every time they shop at Amazon.
Go to org.amazon.co.uk to enrol your organisation to receive funds.
Inform your parent community of this new exciting fundraising initiative.
When they start shopping, Amazon will donate a portion of the purchase price to your PTA.
What you need to tell your school community.
Sign up to Amazon Smile at smile.amazon.co.uk using their usual Amazon sign in if they have one.
The very first time they shop, they will need to search for, and select <name of your PTA> as their charity.
Bookmark AmazonSmile on their laptop or mobile device for future purchases.
Amazon will donate 0.5% of the net purchase price (excluding VAT, returns and shipping fees) of all eligible AmazonSmile purchases at no extra cost to them.
Promoting AmazonSmile to your school community.
Once your PTA is set up to receive donations from AmazonSmile, you need to promote it. When you sign in to your PTA’s account and click on “Marketing Tools,” you can obtain a link to a customised AmazonSmile landing page for your PTA. You can then use this in email, newsletters, on your website, or in social media posts. Make sure you include your PTA personalised AmazonSmile link! You could even create a poster with these links using Canva.

If you use Ticket Tailor’s online event ticketing then use the Broadcast feature on Ticket Tailor to let people know about using AmazonSmile in conjunction with any event you may be running. It’s quick and easy to do.
