Here's what other box offices have to say

I’ve used several ticketing platforms over the years, including Ticketmaster, Eventbrite, and DesignMyNight, and I can confidently say that Ticket Tailor stands out as the best. I’ve been using Ticket Tailor for over three years now, selling close to 9,000 tickets annually, so this review comes from genuine, long-term experience.
Ticket Tailor is easy to use, simple to edit and the box office options are very clear and its everything we need to run our arts programming. I highly recommend it for non-profits and arts groups.
Ticket Tailor has been the perfect, user-friendly, no-fuss ticketing platform for our new theatre company! Their clear and affordable fee structure; small, independent business model; and commitment to sustainable business practices made them an obvious choice for our emerging, environmentally-conscious theatre company!
Ticket Tailor is brilliant. The team are responsive, knowledgeable, and seem to always be there to help! The app is well thought out, the interface is clean, the customers experience is easy. I run a small venue doing 386 sold out shows a year and Ticket Tailor makes it easy!
I have a theatre comapany (DragonBird Theatre) that sell over 700 tickets a month through Ticket Tailor. We looked at many ticket providers and Ticket Tailor was the only company that could manage our high volume, cheaply priced tickets at multiple venues for an affordable price.
We loved Ticket Tailor. We tried a local service for our small Community Theatre, but it was expensive and clunky. TT offered us an easy-to use platform with so much more flexibility than we've ever had. Thank you, we will continue with TT!

Ticket Tailor has been integral in supporting me as a new small business in terms of affordability and simplicity.

Becky Jackson, Legs Body Finish, London

We sell our events out in one hour. That’s 8,000 tickets selling in one hour, and Ticket Tailor can handle it.

Dan Clews, Stonepitts Farm, Sevenoaks

We haven’t had a single line. The check-in process is a breeze. Not only has it made our guest experience so much better, but it has made our team feel so much more comfortable.

All you need to know about box office software and ticketing

How much does box office software cost?

Most platforms charge a percentage of face value, so your bill scales with your ticket price. A £45 seat costs you far more than a £12 one for identical work. Ticket Tailor charges a simple flat fee per ticket with no commission based on your ticket prices. Pay as you sell, or buy credits up front at a lower rate. Free events are free for the overwhelming majority of box offices running under 5,000 tickets a year.

Can I pass fees on to ticket buyers?

Yes. You choose whether to absorb your fees or pass them on, and you can add a booking fee per ticket, a transaction fee, or sales tax, which means you can keep the full face value of every ticket.

When do I get paid, before or after the show?

Immediately, which matters if you're paying a touring company or a technical crew before curtain-up. Ticket money goes straight to your own Stripe, PayPal or Square account after each purchase and never passes through Ticket Tailor's bank account. By contrast, some platforms hold funds until after the event.

Can I charge different prices for different parts of the house?

Yes, through seat categories. Each seat belongs to one category (stalls, upper circle, front rows) and you can attach multiple ticket types at different prices to the same seat, so an adult at £25 and a child at £10 can sit next to each other.

Does reserved seating cost extra?

Each seat reservation counts as one additional usage credit on top of the ticket fee. On a £30 seat that's still materially cheaper than a percentage model, so it's worth showing the maths rather than burying this.

How do I check people in on the door?

The free check-in app scans tickets, searches by name, or works from a door list, with group admission for school and party bookings and live attendance reporting as the house fills. Check-ins are tracked by staff member.

What is box office software?

It's the system a venue uses to sell tickets, manage seating and capacity, take payment, admit audiences on the door, and report on sales. Modern systems are cloud-based, so the same box office runs your public on-sale, your desk and phone bookings, and your front-of-house scanning from one place.

What's the difference between box office software and event ticketing software?

Mostly emphasis. Event ticketing tends to assume a one-off event with general admission. Box office software assumes a recurring programme in a fixed space, so it leans harder on seat maps, multiple performances of the same production, concessions, repeat bookers and capacity management. Some platforms do both well. Ask specifically about seat maps and multi-performance runs, since that's usually where general event tools thin out.
