Nigel Shaw’s 2023 concerts will feature music from his most recent album, Flow, as well as earlier works including Nocturnes (music for the sacred night), Dartmoor Symphony (flute and piano movements about wild nature) as well as improvised meditational flute music performed on a selection of his hand-carved instruments. https://www.seventhwavemusic.co.uk
Bethan Lloyd – From studying Theology and Religious Studies at Cambridge to living with indigenous tribes in Brazil, Bethan has been exploring the otherworldly nature of voice on and off stage since her childhood in Wales. Her exploration has included training as a classical singer, performing and living within the experimental scene in Berlin and learning with shamans, masters, and the wordless ancient teachings of the natural world. Her most inspiring retreat was a month in solitude with only her voice overlooking the sacred Island Ynys Enlli. Bethan regularly teaches 5-day immersive voice retreats both in Cae Mabon, Snowdonia and at Embercombe in Devon; exploring the sublime nature of voice and sound through improvisation, nature connection, ritual and magic. www.bethanlloyd.net
