She was promoted to Youth Services Director in November 2019. She is a Washington licensed mental health and chemical dependency professional with more than 12 years in the mental health field.

Jillian Worth, MD

Kelsey Lynch, Community Navigator BIPD

Kelsey previously worked out of Poulsbo City Hall, serving as a Behavioral Health Navigator for the Poulsbo Police Department and the Bainbridge Island Police Department. Kelsey grew up in Washougal, Washington and spent most of her youth in the pool, swimming competitively since she was 7 years old, which led to distance swimming for Washington State University. She graduated WSU in 2012 with a BS in psychology and general biology. From there, she served as an Education Volunteer in the Peace Corps in South Africa where she taught math and sex education. She then went on to complete her master’s degree in social work from the University of Denver. Kelsey worked as a family therapist in Denver prior to moving back to Washington.

Maxwell Richards & Emma Sinclair

Both are the 2023-2024 BHS PTSO Board Student Representatives as well as members of the BYS Youth Board.

ASKbys Panel of experts:

Ask the Therapist: Hear from and ask questions of Courtney who has a pulse on what local youth are experiencing and feeling and learn ways to engage with youth. Examples of topics may include; building healthy relationships with youth, social media and internet concerns, mental health, and stages of child development.

Ask the Doctors: Hear from and ask questions of Dr. Jillian Worth. These local physicians are experts in the health of young people and understand that physical and mental health often go hand in hand. Possible topics might include biological and developmental changes in youth, substance abuse, and trends that they might be noticing or learning about regarding young people.

Ask the Community: Hear from and ask questions of community members Kelsey of BIPD and a BIFD representative who work with local youth.
Topics may include how the community handles and responds to situations concerning youth, or tips on how to handle parenting
situations.

Ask the Youth: Hear from and ask questions of youth in our community. You will be given access to Maxwell, who is currently serving on the BYS Youth Advisory Board, and will be available to answer questions. Topics could include what youth are concerned about, how to talk to your teenager, or how to connect with youth.

Join us! We believe families are more successful when they are informed, know where to find resources, and where to turn for support. Everyone benefits when all community families are healthy.

This event is free and appetizers will be served.
