We're throwing a big New Years Eve party to see out 2023! 

Big big thank you and lots of love to everyone who has came to the Good Clean Fun parties in 2023. We have been growing the party and community slowly over the last two years and as 2023 draws to a close it feels like something pretty lovely is developing. To celebrate the year we're throwing a big(ger than usual) party for hogmany at Strange Field, Glasgow.

Venue

Formerly Barrowfield Weaving Factory which was built in 1899 by John French & Son., Strange Field is now a multi-purpose arts and community venue in the East End of Glasgow. It's stripped back, industrial and we're buzzing to transplant our homely Good Clean Fun set up into the venue for a big Hogmany house party :)

The Venue is in Glasgow's east end at the edge of Glasgow Green. It is a 5 min walk from Dalmarnock train station and has plenty of parking space for those travelling by car.

About Good Clean Fun

Good Clean Fun is an alcohol and drug free party that strips modern dance culture of its excesses. It is put on by a small group of sober pals who want to provide a quality clubbing space for people who don’t drink or use drugs (or who are curious about stopping / cutting down).

The parties are a melting pot of people of all ages (16+), genders, sexualities, religions and ethnicities etc (all the best parties are). It's a public event but it feels like a good house party.

Music

The music is explores many corners of dance music, refusing to be contained by genre, trends, time period or geography. It's usually a blend of disco, soul, funk, RnB, groovy electronic and jazzy sounds ... with the odd fun pop banger thrown in for good measure. The BPM rarely goes past 125. Jake Breathwork Workshop

Join us for an empowering and energetic breathwork session by Good Clean Fun attendee and Breathwork coach Jake . In this session we will use breath and movement to warm up our bodies and create some natural energy within the body and mind. The session will be between 8pm and 9pm. 

Food + Drink

Drinks available: Luscombe Hot Ginger Beer; Bon Accord Cloudy Lemonade & Pink Grapefruit Soda; You + I Kombucha; Yunnan Cold Black Tea; Sencha Cold Green Tea; Homemade Iced Peppermint Tea; Hot Tea & Coffee, as well us the usual Coca Cola, Irn Bru & Red Bull etc.

Food: Our friend Reed will be cooking up a homemade hot Jamaican Jerk Curry (veggie) for £6. Various other snacks like chocolate and sweets and cakes available throughout the night for extra energy. 

Newcomers

A lot of people come on their own which has been really cool to see. If you are coming to the party solo, or for the first time,  feel free to give us a message on Instagram DM and we will keep an eye out for you. Our regulars will be floating around for a chat and welcome to anyone thats feeling the usual pre-party nerves. 

Ticketing Info

We want the Good Clean Fun parties to be accessible to anyone who wants to come and we offer a number of free of charge tickets for those who are unemployed or on UC. Please only use if needed - we are a community interest company working with tight margins and ticket sale income allow us to continue to put the party on. Free of charge tickets will be available as advanced tickets only.
