ORIZON ARTS Festival celebrates its 3rd annual celebration event titled - Movement is Life: POETIC IMPACT X UHAMBE NAMI being hosted at the remarkable Latino Cultural Center theater space. Our humble beginnings started at the Pan African Connection 2020 (sold out) and following year at the Texas Theatre. Let's welcome the beauty, strength and vibrancy in living knowing the many things that separate & differentiate us from one another makes us more interesting, more valuable, richer to understand... these are things we should celebrate through unity not divide nor segregate us through separation in whom we are meant to be in this world. The Uhambe Nami "Walk With Me" Festival is supported in part by the City of Dallas Office of Arts and Culture. And we humbly accept this opportunity in knowing by action... cultivating community takes a village vs one perception to living. There are many variables of this world that has designed us to be who we are today, let's celebrate our truth together on Saturday 29 July 1-6PM.

Event details entail 2 emcee's, live DJ, performers, vendors, battle prize money, judges, etc.:

• EMCEE'S "Master of Ceremonies" are 1-3PM by DALLAS greatest... B. Randall (showcase set) and from 3-6:30PM by Houston BEST... Ericka de Leon aka Babygirl Bgirlcity/Mzk (battle rounds set). Welcoming introduction by Micaela Gutierrez-Tillett, founder of ORIZON "Many Cultures, One Style!" established in 2005 Dallas TEXAS.
• Performers showcase set from 1-3PM will consist of ---- LIVE Poetry, Singers, Musician and different styles of Dance by true professional artist in the industry. And a FUN audience participation by B. Randall calling-out the floor.
• Battle Rounds set from 3-6:05PM (over 50 competitors in 1v1, 1v2 or 2v2) with reputable-knowledgeable Judges on stage. Battle Rounds will consist of --- 2 rounds in Hip Hop (past/old school to present/today - solely HH), 1 RD in Latin Dance (any form of Latin dancing), 1 RD in Afro Dance & 1 RD in Dancehall. This is not an all styles battle event --- U must be willing to change hats "Speak a different Language" when the battle round of music calls you to do so. This spiritual battle is to acknowledge the Many Cultures "Language through Movement" of its people (cultural lifestyle) for living. If there's a 3-way tie at the end, the last round we'll have all 3 competitors on stage w/DJ choice selection (music) in 1 of 4 dance styles.
• • CHAMP WINNER - $800 cash, The G.O.A.T Trophy, name/residing city burned into the Uhambe Nami staff & event Jacket
    • 2020 winner - Prince Wayne and 2022 winner - Tassi De vil
  • 1st RUNNER-UP - $150 cash, MVP medal & event jacket
  • 2nd RUNNER-UP - $50 cash, FLAME medal & event shirt
  • TABLE TALK 6:20PM to 7PM w/Judges solely for the competitors... Q/A's in reference to the Battle Rounds
• Vendors (fashion jewelry, gear with a message, skin to hair care, facepainting, book authors, fresh juice, food) and LIVE DJ. Raffling off graffiti artwork to paintings by TEXAS best!
