Event Description:
Mindfulness meditation can be a powerful tool to aid in the process of healing, self discovery, and overall well-being. Over four weeks, Kayla will guide you through various mindfulness practices, carefully tailored to address the unique needs of individuals with mental health concerns, substance abuse, and trauma histories. Each session will focus on cultivating self-awareness, managing stress, and fostering resilience in a safe and supportive environment.

Renteria Counseling and Wellness is dedicated to providing compassionate and comprehensive mental health support. Your host for this mindfulness meditation series is not only an experienced therapist but also a registered yoga teacher, combining therapeutic expertise with the transformative power of mindfulness practices.
What to Expect:
Week 1: Building the Foundation
- Understand the fundamentals of mindfulness and its application in mental health and trauma recovery
- Explore common barriers in beginning a mindfulness meditation practice, and learn techniques to manage these challenges.
- Explore gentle breathing exercises and body can techniques to connect with the present moment
Week 2: Embracing Emotions
- Learn how to acknowledge and accept emotions without judgement or resistance.
- Practice mindfulness exercises to enhance emotional regulation and self-compassion
- Learn the basics of mindful yoga
- Explore how to deal with thoughts that arise during a meditation practice
Week 3: Cultivating Resilience:
- Discover strategies to cope with triggers and stressful situations
- Foster resilience through loving-kindness meditation and forgiveness practices
- Learn how to deal with difficult emotions and physical pains by harnessing the power of mindfulness
Week 4: Integration and Empowerment
- Reflect on the progress made throughout the series.
- Develop a personalized mindfulness practice to continue your journey towards healing and inner peace.
Note: Each class is part of a cumulative learning experience. Classes cannot be purchased individually and must be purchased as the whole workshop series.
