Applications to Assessment Grant fund welcomed.
Thank you for your interest in BHS Strathclyde’s Assessment Grant Fund. To apply for a grant from us, please complete this online form at least ten working days before you plan to take your assessment.
BHS Strathclyde is encouraging members residing in the Strathclyde area to apply for funding towards the cost of BHS Assessments.
The Assessment Grants will cover one third of a candidate’s fees for BHS Assessments from BHS Stage 1 to BHSI.
To be eligible for a grant, candidates must have resided in the Strathclyde Committee area for at least the last two years. They must also be able to provide a referee, such as their BHS Accredited Professional Coach or other appropriately-qualified person.
BHS Strathclyde Assessment Grants are funded by the BHS Strathclyde Committee and by members attending paid events in aid of the fund. The fund was boosted by a grant from Aberdeen Riding Club.
Please note:
- You must hold a BHS Gold membership in order to undertake BHS Assessments.
- You must be qualified for an Assessment before you apply for funding (for example, you can’t apply for Stage 2 Care without having passed your Stage 1 Care or equivalent).
- You must provide the name of a referee, such as your Accredited Professional Coach (APC), as part of your application.
- If awarded, the Grant will cover one third of the cost of each Assessment.
- The Grant can’t be used to pay for BHS Gold membership, training, or travel to an Assessment.
- There will be a restriction on the number of staff at each centre that will be able to receive the funding to ensure that all centres have equal opportunities to receive the funding.
Your assessment must be booked within 14 days of the grant being approved.
