We were truly blessed in 2018 with our beautiful daughter Cecilia Bonnie Brady 'Ceci'.
Ceci was diagnosed with Angelman Syndrome when she turned 2, which is a very rare neurogenetic disorder. 'AS' affects approximately 1 in 15,000 live births or 500,000 people worldwide.
Children and adults with 'AS' have balance issues, motor impairment, debilitating seizures, some never walk, and most do not speak and have severe learning difficulties.
We devastatingly lost our daughter shortly before her 4th birthday. She was the most special little girl you could ever meet, she was happiness personified! Ceci was such a determined little girl which gives us the inspiration to continue to raise funds and awareness of Angelman Syndrome to help find a cure for this debilitating disease in honour of Ceci.
Your donations will fuel the necessary research that will enable clinical trials in the UK and will get us closer to a safe, efficient and accessible treatment or even multiple treatments for Angelman Syndrome.
This key research – the Natural History Study – costs £250,000 per year.
£2,000 covers an innovative ultra-sensitive wearable device for one patient enabling valuable data collection
£10,000 allows one patient to participate in the Study and to line them up for future trials
£250,000 pays for 1 year of the Natural History Study in full
