The events following Russia's full-scale invasion in Ukraine in February 2024 made us rethink our perception of mobility. The upcoming Urbanconfest focuses on the (un)freedom of movement—a fundamental human right considered a privilege for some and a forced act for others. Scholars, urban activists, engaged citizens, and artists will share their expertise in the field.

Urbanconfest is a hybrid of a conference and a festival, incorporating diverse formats to tackle complex topics. We prioritize interactive, interdisciplinary, experimental, and playful approaches.
