Come join the fun and take part in the inaugural Gibbo Hockey Cup!

This Charity Hockey Tournament will be played between Southend HC, Brentwood HC, and Old Southendians HC on Saturday August 21st, 2021 at Becket Keys school in Brentwood.

The day will start registration at 9.30am, followed by a number of games for various groups. Please speak to your appropriate club contact to discuss the breakdown of groups.

To confirm your playing place for the day please complete the registration form and payment of £10.

All money raised through registrations will go towards Challenging MND, a local charity founded by Alex Gibson, which helps people living with motor neurone disease complete memorable challenges or experiences with their friends and family.

Once we have definite names, the Tournament organisers will allocate individual players to a team and be notified accordingly.

Upon completion of the fiercely contested matches on Tournament day, Alex Gibson (the founder of Challenging MND and who lives with the disease himself), will choose the Club whose teams have competed in the best spirt of the game and award the inaugural Gibbo Hockey Trophy. 

We hope to make this an annual fixture with your support so make sure you can say you played in the first ever tournament!

Please bring your own refreshments for the day but please do then join us at the Brentwood HC clubhouse (based at Brentwood Cricket Club) to enjoy food from a burrito street food truck and a few well earned celebratory drinks in the bar!
