Foulplay GGC Pop-Up: WANDERSTAR

Join us during #GeekGirlConline for a pop-up murder mystery game! Each game will host 15 players and is suitable for players ages 15+. This game is free but registration is required! We have hosted pop-up games for GeekGirlCon 2019 and Nerdfaire and are excited to bring the same fun online!

Characters will be assigned assigned when players arrive for WANDERSTAR. All players will receive a character list ahead of time, a link to the event, a How-To Play Guide, and a Tech Guide. Players will also have the opportunity to win a free downloadable Foulplay game! Please note we reserve the right to cancel or change a game depending on # of signups. 

What To Expect: Our murder mystery parties are unscripted, meaning you will have a character background that includes personality traits and goals to accomplish, but how you do so is up to you! It’s like live-Clue, everyone will be assigned a character, and you will "act" or roleplay as your character throughout the party. The murderer knows they are the murderer and is trying to cover their tracks while the other players try to figure out whodunnit while accomplishing their goals. A Foulplay host will be available throughout the party to assist.

We run all of our parties on Remo! Remo is an interactive web platform that mimics an in-person event. There will be the ability to broadcast key information as well as “tables” with a private video line to chat with the other players. You will not need to download anything but you will need to make an account. Players will receive an event link and further instructions on how to play closer to the event. You must have a desktop or laptop, internet, and a webcam. Phones and tablets will not work. Each player needs their own laptop/computer, ideally in a separate room from another player if you have multiple people playing in a household.

WANDERSTAR:

In The Outskirts of the Frontier Star System, the crews of The Empress and The Calamity Jane have put aside old rivalries to apprehend infamous outlaw, Kaelen Longherst, and collect the bounty from Enforcer Barclay. While a dust storm threatens to keep the crews on lockdown, there is a lot to celebrate as they exchange the outlaw, alive, at Blackjack Cantina, a watering hole in Lone Rock Port well-known for attracting smugglers, gamblers, merchants, and crew members alike. But the past is not easily forgotten, and long-buried secrets and a mysterious lost treasure threaten to up the stakes.
