Research Culture Community Network
We are excited to announce the launch of the Research Culture Community Network at the University of St Andrews — a new, inclusive platform for anyone interested in shaping and strengthening our research culture.
Aims:
We want research culture at the university of St Andrews to be co-created, and community led. The network will provide a mechanism and a space for bring together academic staff, researchers, technicians, professional services staff, and anyone passionate about enabling a positive, inclusive and collaborative research culture.
The Network will:
- Provide a platform for knowledge sharing, surfacing best practices and innovative approaches across the institution
- Allow for discussion around challenges and opportunities
- Connect colleagues across disciplines and build a community of practice
- Contribute to shaping the future of research culture at St Andrews
Inaugural Event:
Join us for the first gathering of the network, where we will:
- Outline our initial Research Culture priorities ‘25-26’
- Share preliminary ideas for an Institutional Research Culture Action Plan.
- Seek feedback on these initial ideas and initiatives as part of the co-design process
- Hear from colleagues leading inspiring work to improve research culture
- Create space for open discussion and connection
Who Should Attend:
Everyone is welcome — whether you're deeply involved in research culture work or simply curious to learn more. This is a space for all voices and perspectives.
Next Steps:
We hope this will be the first of many opportunities to collaborate, learn, and grow our research culture together. Future sessions will be shaped by the community’s interests and needs. We particularly welcome feedback (to researchculture@st-andrews.ac.uk) on preferred format and space for network meetings – in person, virtually or a mix of both.
If you have any questions, please contact researchculture@st-andrews.ac.uk
