Immerse yourself in an evening of artistic enchantment and cultural symphony at our second summer soiree, a collaboration that blooms under the auspices of BridgeIndia and Ketna Patel Studio, partnering with 'Sajda' Festival of South Asian Performing Arts. This event, nestled in the heart of a vibrant East African British Indian neighborhood in London, aims to weave a tapestry of cultural connections through the celebration of Indian classical santoor + tabla music and the rich artistic dialogues between Britain and India. Hosted within the intimate and bohemian confines of an artist's studio, the evening promises an eclectic mix of art, music, delectable food and refreshing drinks, all set against the backdrop of a garden, technicoloured studio + gallery space. This soiree is not just an event but a unique opportunity to foster community, encourage the continuation of artistic practices across generations, and highlight the importance of multiculturalism and the preservation of our shared and overlapping heritage. Join us for a colourful evening, where art and music lovers can unite, explore, and celebrate the vibrant cultural bridges that connect us all.

India-based upcoming instrumentalist maestro Ninad Daithankar will present a Santoor (string instrument) recital –a one and half hour musical “SUKOON” – (a Sufi word for an elevated state of mind that combines peace and contentment) that will include an eclectic mix of Indian classical, semi classical, folk, fusion, original compositions and popular Bollywood (Hindi film) songs. Santoor is a very melodious instrument from the North Indian valley of Kashmir and Ninad’s mellifluous music transports the audience to the realm of serenity and tranquillity. Ninad’s music is a soulful exploration of diverse genres from traditional classical music to the very contemporary Bella ciao!

Internationally acclaimed Saleel Tambe will accompany him on the Indian percussion.
