Green Acreages Workshop Hosted by Northern Sunrise County, Mighty Peace Watershed Alliance, Cows & Fish, PCBFA

NOTE: this is a two-part event that includes a workshop, lunch and field activities.

1. Workshop - 9:30 AM - 12:00 PM at St. Isidore Cultural Centre, St. Isidore
At the workshop you will learn about stewardship and how to:

• Evaluate your acreage
• Better manage and improve your property
• Map your property assets and plan your activities
• Access funding to help with a stewardship project and the projects that qualify
• And more
  

Coffee will be served from 9:30 AM - 9:45 AM with presentations to follow at 9:45 AM. A presentation on riparian zone management by Cows & Fish is also included in the morning program.

2. Field Activities & Lunch - 12:15 PM - 3:00 PM at Cecil Thompson Park, Northern Sunrise County
Participants will rotate through a series of interactive stations hosted by partner organizations to learn about acreage stewardship and available supports. Topics include riparian health, working with beavers, stream crossings and more. Demonstrations, hands-on learning opportunities and prize draws will be part of the afternoon. Please dress for the weather and bring sunscreen, a hat, insect repellent, and a water bottle. 

Lunch will be served from 12:15 PM - 12:45 PM with activities to follow at 1:00 PM.

Presented by Land Stewardship Centre and hosted by Northern Sunrise County, Mighty Peace Watershed Alliance, Cows and Fish & Peace Country Beef and Forage Association. Please note this workshop is only available for residents and landowners in Northern Sunrise County.
