The Green Communities team is hosting a nature exploring event at Ford Park Cemetery. We're hoping to capture some different species that like to be out a bit later in the day. This is as a part of our ongoing mission to bring light the amazing wildlife that can be found in the most unlikely places.
Come along and discover hidden wildlife you may otherwise miss.
The walk will start at 5:30pm. We will be using sweep nets to capture the mini beasts living with the grasses and identifying any we can. The iNaturalist app can help with identification, please download this if you can, however, we will have ID guides and sheets if you don't have the app. No experience is needed to join us on this event, everyone is welcome!
Please note, we will be walking on very uneven ground within long grass, so please wear suitable footwear, clothing and appropriate weather protection.
All ages welcome (children must be accompanied by an adult)
Not suitable for pushchairs or wheelchairs as the terrain is uneven
If you have any questions, please email jess.jordan@nationaltrust.org.uk
See you there!
