Project Hindsight Labs presents: Historians Without Borders (Finland) - Erkki Tuomioja and Heta Hedman

Project Hindsight Labs is our new initiative. Reflecting on our recent public event, we realised that many people interested in our work might want to bring their ideas to us and have them addressed in real time, producing actionable next steps.

We are lucky to be joined by two exceptional guests from Historians Without Borders (Finland) - Erkki Tuomioja (Chairman of HWB in Finland and former Foreign Minister of Finland) and Heta Hedman (HWB Secretary General). For more, see: https://historianswithoutborders.fi

Historians without Borders is an international network of historians, history teachers and others interested in the use of history and memory politics around the world. The declaration which guides the work of the network was adopted at "The Use and Abuse of History" conference in Helsinki in May 2016. The first national chapter, Historians without Borders in Finland, was established in 2015. According to the statutes of our declaration, Historians without Borders works to enhance public understanding and awareness of history as well as promote the use of historical knowledge for peace-building and conflict-resolution processes.
