Ticket sales will close Wednesday 18th September.

The Space Skills Summit is the UK's first space skills conference. It's organised by Space Skills Alliance and SpaceCareers.uk, and is generously hosted by Viasat at their Central London headquarters.

What to expect

This is not a conference where you're going to get talked at for hours or hear the same panel discussion on skills you've heard a thousand times before. This will be an interactive event where you will be expected to share your own knowledge and expertise and learn from other attendees so that together we can develop solutions to the sector’s skills problems.

The summit will feature a mix of presentations, discussions, and practical workshops on a wide range of skills topics. See below for the agenda for the day. There will also be plenty of time for networking.

Who this conference is for

This conference is for anyone in the space industry involved in recruitment, training, retention, diversity, outreach, and other skills topics. That includes:

  • Employers and recruiters
  • Education and training providers
  • Outreach providers
  • Policymakers
  • Learned societies
  • Anyone working on space skills

This not an event for students or job seekers. We have a limited amount of space available, so we reserve the right to refund your ticket if you do not have an appropriate link to space skills work.

Timetable

This is our expected agenda for the day, but may be subject to change.

Registration at 09:30, starting at 10:00. Speed networking at 10:25, coffee at 11:00, discussion about education and training at 11:20, lunch at 12:40, discussion about skills data and workshop on recruitment both at 13:30, break at 14:30, discussion about career changers and workshop on skills auditing both at 14:40, coffee break at 15:40, panel on learning from other sectors at 16:00, close at 17:00, networking reception at 17:15

If you have any access needs or dietary requirements, just let us know and we'll do our best to accommodate. This is an in-person event and will not be streamed.
