Want to learn how to assess snail communities and contribute to their conservation?
LAVERS HILL WORKSHOP: Tue April 18, 9am - 12pm meet at @ Hordern Vale Hall for a presentation and morning tea with Dr John Stanisic, followed by a field demonstration
APOLLO BAY WORKSHOP: Wed April 19, 2 30pm - 5 30 pm. meet at @ Apollo Bay Senior Citizens Hall (Whelan St) for a presentation and morning tea with Dr John Stanisic, followed by a field demonstration
"Dr John Stanisic, aka 'The Snail Whisperer' is Australia’s foremost expert on land snails, and he has published numerous articles on the systematics, distribution and biogeography of land snails, in particular their association with rainforest and limestone. "
After this event, using the skills learnt, we encourage local community and visitors to the region to snap as many snails for the following month as they can whilst out and about in the wonderful Otways!
