DESCRIPTION:

PRAISE offers a space for people who tend the deepest levels of human experience to bask in gratitudes and celebration. We spend so much time plumbing the depths, it is time to be in good company, to sing and soar together to heights of joy and praise.

For years, many have been talking about our needs to tend to each other, to share stories and skills, to spread out the load of the important cultural and spiritual work we are carrying. This gathering is for us!

We gather to praise the Harvest, to praise the Holy Mother Waters. To be nourished and cleansed, to feast and give thanks. To develop our "praise muscle" so we can renew ourselves and prepare for the deeper Work that lies ahead.

VILLAGE ECOSYSTEM:

Most gatherings these days are quite short — crammed into a single evening or weekend. Yet, we know we need more spaciousness to rest, and allow new culture to gestate. For PRAISE we chose a holiday week so we could have MULTIPLE DAYS to unfold:  Arriving on Wednesday, departing on Sunday, offering plenty of time together.

But, since costs are considerably higher to feed and house everyone in a longer format, our challenge is to find ways to make a multi-day, residential event financially viable for everyone, including children.  So we have chosen a rustic campout setting, rather than a luxury retreat.  

To do all this, the PRAISE gathering depends on all of our participation in the creation of a living village ecosystem.  We are asking everyone to pitch in to keep the fires lit, and the food and magic flowing.  Each adult will be asked to provide one potluck dish for this gathering.  Simple bunk, mattress, and hot showers will be provided in heated cabins. Bring your own bedding and towels.

After you purchase a ticket you will be asked to fill out our service signup sheet., and and a meal shift signup.  Please sign up for one or more shifts on each form so we can coordinate our meal and service offerings.   Thank you!  Many hands make light work!


ADMISSION TIERS:

We hope the tiered pricing structure we have arranged will make our festivities accessible to all.  We ask that those with stable income and resources to please contribute at the highest tier, to distribute the gifts of financial flow. 

10% of our net proceeds from this event are going directly to Local Native Tribal Members. Your participation in this event makes this possible.

We work to honor the story, ability and capacity of each person... in order to create equity... this only works when those who have the capacity to give more than their “fair market share” give more than those with less capacity.

The market economy conditions us to always be on the lookout for the “best bargain,” to pay as little as we can and get the most “bang for the buck.” This approach does not always meet the needs of all parties. The Gift system looks at the ability of all parties, and reframes us to think about collective responsibility to meet everyone’s needs.  (-Shout out to this description from the EastPointPeace.org website)

PLEASE REFER TO THE GREEN BOTTLE EQUITY PRICING to determine an appropriate admission tier for you.  If the "full bottle" (bottle on the left) describes you, please choose the highest tier.  And if you're feeling extra plush , we encourage you to gift beyond the established tiers by making an extra donation.
