Whether you've had a bad experience, are avoiding high fees or are just a fan of the underdog – there are many reasons you might be looking to sell tickets online with an alternative to Eventbrite. As the leading independent ticketing platform, we’re proud to be able to say that we’re not only cheaper to use, but offer a range of other features and benefits that you might not necessarily get with those guys. Here are seven of them to get you started:
We’re the lowest cost alternative to Eventbrite
Get this: Eventbrite charges a percentage of your ticket sales on top of a set fixed fee, which we think is just plain unfair. We think you should reap the rewards of your hard work, not the ticketing software you choose to use. That’s why we’ve made it our mission to be the lowest-cost ticketing platform out there. Meaning you keep more of the ticketing revenue.
Luckily, being an independent business means we’re able to price more fairly than Eventbrite, despite offering a very similar service. We don’t take any percentage of your ticket sales whatsoever – just a simple fixed fee. Not only does this make us much cheaper than Eventbrite but, in our eyes, it kind of makes us, well, nicer too. Just saying.

You get paid directly – we never hang onto your money
When you’ve poured your heart and soul into running an event, the last thing you want is to wonder when you’re going to get paid. With Eventbrite, this can often be the case because they’re known to hold onto your money until after your event. Not us, though. Rather than standing in between you and your money, the money is directly transferred to your Stripe or PayPal account once the ticket is purchased. That means it never hits our bank account because why would it? The fruits of your labour are just that. Yours.

We don’t use OR own your customer data
There’s no bigger turn off than being bombarded with “similar” events via email after you’ve hit a gig, class or talk. That’s why when someone buys a ticket from us, we’ll email them once with a confirmation of purchase, and that’s literally it. In fact, unlike Eventbrite, we don’t own your customer data full stop, because we think that’s yours to do what you want with.
We’re 100% there for you – no matter how big or small your event
We aim to get back to all customer queries within ten minutes, and we’re darned good at it too. We’ll usually respond to you even quicker than this, and always with a truly personal feel. This is because we value all events equally – no matter the size – and pride ourselves on offering exceptional customer service. If it’s an important issue for you, you can bet it’s an important one for us.

We don’t hijack your branding or steal focus away from your event
We don’t slap our branding all over your event because we refuse to detract from your own hard work. You want your customers to associate your event with you and only you, which is why we’re more than happy to take a backseat while your brand takes all the limelight. That’s just the way it should be.
We have much better reviews on Trustpilot and Capterra
We have significantly better reviews than Eventbrite on Trustpilot and Capterra – which may help go some way towards answering any questions around whether we can be a preferable alternative to them if we’re cheaper. Sounding like a win-win? That’s because it is.
We don’t feel corporate… because we’re not
Last but certainly not least, we’re proud to be as big as we are without falling into any corporate traps. We don’t feel corporate because we’re not – we’re fully independent, which reflects in everything from our stellar and highly personal customer service to our fair pricing. We think this is something Eventbrite lacks, who have been criticised time and time again on platforms like Trustpilot for being extremely difficult to get in touch with if anything goes wrong, and even having organisers struggling to access their event revenue. Yikes.
When all’s said and done, this isn’t really about scoring points. Our belief that we’re the best alternative to Eventbrite comes down to a lot of things, but there’s one reason we’re so keen to highlight it. We genuinely care about helping people to get the most out of their events. That means not tapping into your precious profits with unfair percentage fees, not hijacking your branding or your customers, and not letting you down when you need our help. Basically, we’re here to enable you to make your events the best they possibly can be, not cause you a headache. It really is that simple.
