The Military Talent Pathway

Balfour Beatty’s Armed Forces Steering Group was set up to discharge the organisation’s responsibilities under the Armed Forces Covenant. Alongside supporting reservists and spouses of serving Armed Forces personnel one of Balfour Beatty’s primary objectives is to help veterans transition into the construction industry. Not only is this a very worthwhile activity in support of the Armed Forces Covenant, it is also helping to alleviate the skills shortage in our sector.

To ensure that veterans have a great start in Balfour Beatty and are supported over the first 6 to 9 months of their career Balfour Beatty has developed a Military Talent Pathway. This includes specific training and mentoring with veterans becoming part of our Armed Forces Community.

Graham Martin, Chair of Balfour Beatty’s Armed Forces Steering Group will present the Military Talent Pathway. Armed Forces veteran Chris Moore will talk about his experience of leaving the Armed Forces and the support he has had through the pathway as he starts his career in the construction industry.
