LI
CURLEW
Curlew (Gill Higgins, she/her) is a celtic alt-folk multi instrumentalist. She incorporates acoustic string, wind and percussive instruments, field recordings, synthesizers and loop pedals. She is interested in the interaction of nature and machine and the way that music can unite strangers. “...it is a nigh on silent packed audience that is hooked as she skilfully and beautifully blends layers of vocal and music through use of loop pedals. Switching between harmonium and keyboard, her set is a bewitching one...”
Curlew supported The Twilight Sad at Glasgow’s The Old Fruit Market (sold out), and has joined Honeyblood (sold out) and Carla J. Easton on tour. She created ambient-folk-electronic soundscapes as part of GLOSS ITEM which exhibited in Glasgow Botanic Gardens’ Kibble Palace as part of Glasgow Science Festival ‘24, and has upcoming performances at this years' Edinburgh Festival.
SUSANNAH STARK & LUGAS EUROP
Susannah is a musician, printmaker, cleaner and gàidhlig learner who likes to blur the boundaries between all of this through song and improvisation with sound & voice, and collaboration with other musicians. her approach to songwriting is formed out of the possibilities for communicating in multiple levels through music, to evoke places, both internal and external, connected with experiences of faith and being. Her debut album ‘Time Together (Hues And Intensities)’ came out with Stroom in 2020 and she is currently working on new music and interdisciplinary artwork ‘Minor gestures’ due out in 2025.
LUGAS EUROP (Lewis H. Cook) is an artist, producer and musician from Glasgow. Most notable in recent years for his output as one half of cosmic-disco band, Free Love (Optimo Music, Night School, Lost Map etc.), he has also been involved in establishing the UK's first non-profit, community based and artist-led electronic musical instrument library - Glasgow Library of Synthesized Sound
Microtonally tuned synthesizers, blown-out electronics and prescription-speed induced longform sonics take influence from hazy analog dub dirge, sticky-floored accelerated hallucinations and transcendental kosmische meditations. - L. H. COOK. uses modular synthesizer, moog, voice and some borrowed vintage electronics.
EMMA DIAMOND (DJ)
Emma Diamond is a Glasgow based genre-spanning DJ with a particular love for soaring vocals, textured sounds & percussive rhythms.
