Yael Wand

A masterful song-crafter and performer, Yael Wand blends folk, jazz, blues and gospel with “the effortless beauty of her voice” (Exclaim!). ‘At Your Door’, (2007) garnered press across Canada and ‘Good Stitch Gone’ (2009), placed her squarely in the Americana genre without compromising her free-spirited sound or her worldly sophistication. She draws on that deep well of musical influences for her latest release, Saltwater Heartwood (2021), an ode to self-discovery and to the subtle-yet-profound moments of life. A “fluid and silky voice... from a bluegrass quaver to slick jazzy delivery or classic, clean Canadiana folk." ~ Stuart Derdeyn (Vancouver Sun)
