New Georges presents
FUTURE WIFE: PARTY IN A SPREADSHEET
You’re invited to a Very Heterosexual Wedding but we can’t have a real wedding so we made one out of spreadsheets. It’s a dance party so I hope you’re in comfortable footwear. It’s a potluck so I hope you bring some food. It’s a vast and terrifying landscape. It’s a barn filled with massive machines. Did I not say that? Don’t worry. You could be the one swaying on the lawn to the rasp of knives being sharpened. Welcome.

Artistic Director/Producer Susan Bernfield and New Play Advocate Sonya Sobieski both caught FUTURE WIFE: PARTY IN A SPREADSHEET when it was Ruth’s MFA thesis presentation at The New School in June. When Susan told Managing Director/Producer Jaynie Saunders Tiller that she’d seen a PLAY in a SPREADSHEET, Jaynie was sooo jealous — well! Remount was imperative.
As Sonya wrote the creators: “The hour did not seem anywhere near an hour; I must have gone seriously into flow and my right brain took over and THERE WAS NO TIME. Your creation of a space for this kind of joyful brainmelt is extremely impressive. Like mad-genius sort of impressive!”
This participatory production is performed entirely in Google Sheets; running time: 1 hour on the dot. Need we remind you: tickets are extremely limited!
