May Feature Class: Intro to Suspension Transitions & The Moco+ hip harness

The first half of class is designed to help individuals who are moving beyond static suspension, and wanting to begin moving in the air. We will be discussing what transitions are, different types of transitions, why we do them, safety concerns, and where to begin. During class Knot_Too_Knotty will be suspended and giving her experience as we transition from position to position while Playswithfire611 demonstrates different transitions, and explaining the thinking process when playing with transitions.

The second part of class will be a pattern class, teaching the Moco+ hip harness. Since being taught this harness from the phenomenal SnappedGinger; this versatile, sustainable and incredibly comfortable harness has become a favorite and frequently used lower body tie. We will be showing the basic pattern of the hip harness and time allowing will also be giving ideas on how we modify the harness to meet our suspension needs.

Prereq Skills:

Single column, Nodome (munter-hitch,crossing hitch), This harness can be self tied and is a very versatile harness for self-tiers with multiple attachment points easily accessible.

Equipment needed:

We use 2 full hanks, on the main foundation of the harness, and one hank extra on additions, but the amount will depend on the model, as well as any extra lines added for support. Rope will be available to borrow if needed.

Meet the Presenters, Playswithfire & Knot_Too_Knotty:

Originally a Region Rat, Playswithfire transplanted to the Indy area for college and never left. He has been in and out of the kink community for 10 years, starting as a burner and slowly merging into the kink community. A well-rounded kinkster with interests in all fuckery, with rope as his primary interest. Playswithfire has been dabbling with rope for 4 years and has dove head first into the deep end 2 years ago playing with rope as much as humanly possible.

As a hospice nurse who has a passion for education and breaking stigma, this passion has transferred to rope. Beginning to dive into rope art education and breaking stigmas of what rope should be, and showing what rope can be. He continues his journey of learning by attending as many local and national rope events as possible, learning from anyone and everyone who has something to teach.

Knot_Too_Knotty (she/her) is a bratty playful rope bottom. She has been involved with rope for about a year. She loves all types of rope but silly circus chaotic rope has been her favorite. She wants to present more and be able to share her experiences as a rope bottom and to be able to encourage other rope bottoms on their rope journeys. She looks forward to growing more in rope and in the community.

May Foundations Class: Facilitated Bottoming Lab

This month for Foundations we will focus on the experience of the people in rope. In this “lab” we will try out simple ties to see how they feel, and create a container in which we can build our body awareness and attached communication skills as bottoms. Tops will gain insights for strengthening their tying skills from the feedback provided by their bottoming companions - that is, after all, the quickest way to know if your ties are working!

This class will require a partner to do the exercises; individuals will be able to learn concepts from auditing.
