Tales on Trent
Tales on Trent
Need help?
The beautiful Kings Hall in Stoke on Trent is the venue for our second Tales on Trent event. Come and meet around 60 authors across many genres, We have writers of romance, crime, horror, thriller, young adult, fantasy and other genres joining us for a day of book world fun. The authors are all excited to meet you, answer your questions, sign books, take selfies and interact with book lovers. There will be some organised panels on the day where Donna Morfett will interview some of the authors and give you an insight into them and their work. There will be some excellent prizes on offer on the day from our raffle and a prize for a fun reader challenge too. The organisers and authors are all super friendly and cannot wait to spend the day with you discussing books and anything else that comes up!! If you love to read you are sure to find a new wonderful writer and stories to add to those you already love. You will also make some book loving friends I'm sure.
Profit raised from ticket sales and the raffle are going to two fantastic local charities. The first is Changes Health and Wellbeing which is a local mental health charity offering support, workshops, social inclusion and much more to local people suffering from mental distress. The second is a charity locals lovingly refer to as the Dougie Mac. The Douglas Macmillan Hospice is much beloved in the area and provides hospice services to people with life limiting illnesses. They support both adults and young children and also offer support to families and carers. Both super worthy causes I'm sure you will agree.
Once the daytime event is done and dusted all attendees and authors are invited to meet at The Glebe Pub in Stoke on Trent (which is attached to the Kings Hall) to socialise and relax after the busy day. Many of the authors are joining us for this. The evening get together is from 7 30pm and is free. Just come along and join us where you will be made welcome.
Refunds will not be offered unless the event is cancelled by the organisers or the date changed.
