Pride in Biotech (19+)

We’re excited to launch Pride in Biotech, a Vancouver-based community to empower lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer professionals in the drug development industry through networking, education, advocacy, professional development, and peer support.

Brought to you by Zymeworks, the inaugural Pride in Biotech event is led by our ZYME&Proud team and will take place on August 1, 2024.

ZYME&Proud in an internal employee-led committee that offers a safe place for our employees to meet, support each other, talk about issues related to allyship, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, and work to end homophobia, biphobia, and transphobia. Their mission is to empower and uplift the queer community and allies in Zymeworks through education, advocacy, and community engagement.  

Through Pride in Biotech, we hope to provide an opportunity for people with like-minded interests or identities to be social together and a welcoming and supportive environment where everyone is accepted for who they are and where their unique perspectives and experiences are valued.   

We look forward to welcoming members of the Vancouver biotech, life sciences community, and prospective graduates!
