Last year we helped event organisers sell over 2.3 million tickets from October to December. And the majority of these box offices started creating their events in September. So if you’re thinking about when’s best to start selling tickets to your events this festive season, there’s no time like the present.
As many of you haven’t used Ticket Tailor since last year, we’ve pulled together a round-up of our most popular (and new!) features that will save you time, and help make selling tickets to your winter events a breeze.

1) Sell merch and experiences with Add-ons
Want to create once-in-a-lifetime experiences and boost your event revenue? You can now sell merch and services on top of event tickets with Add-ons. So whether it’s light-up wands, ice-skate hire or photos with Santa at the Grotto, it’s now possible.
2) Repeat your event easily with recurring events
Long-gone are the days of creating multiple event pages or using ticket types for different times and dates. When your event repeats, your set-up doesn’t have to. With our recurring events feature, you can create one event page and ticket type, then schedule the times it occurs, helping you swerve stress and save time. Simple.
3) Create family tickets with bundles
In April this year we launched ticket bundles: an easy way to set up promotions on combinations of different ticket types. For example, you could sell a family ticket for two adults and two children at a discounted price. Or even sell a weekend ticket that gives you Saturday and Sunday entry to a weekend-long event.
4) Order transfers
Managing your event should be as easy as pie. That's why we’ve made it possible to transfer tickets from one event in your series to another in just one click! Because we know ticket buyers might book the wrong date or even change their mind. Easy.
5) Set-up donations for charity
You don’t have to be a charity to include fundraising in your event ticketing strategy. In fact, over 22.5% of events selling tickets through Ticket Tailor this year had our charity feature enabled. This feature allows ticket buyers to add an optional donation of any value to your chosen cause when buying their tickets. And given nearly one third of annual donations happen in December, your festive events are likely to have a big impact. After all, ‘tis the season for giving.
6) Sell tickets at the door!
Yep, you read that right. Not only can you sell your event tickets online with Ticket Tailor, you can now sell them in-person with ready-to-go card readers, thanks to our partnership with Stripe Terminal.
While selling tickets is progressively moving online, current research shows that up to 20% of event tickets are still sold at the door. Stripe Terminal opens up a new revenue stream for venues not currently offering in-person payment. It also makes it easier for event organisers already selling online and on the door, as you can transfer all sales information onto one system - allowing for cleaner financial reporting and reconciliation.
